February 21st --

Greetings to all. It's been over a month since the last update. But, once again, still no contest entries. I find this to be quite bothersome. There are 81 members... Not a one can even participate in a single, quite easy, contest?

**heavy sigh**

Well, I suppose I'll give this until the second contest's deadline date. If there are no contest entries, I will have no other choice than to just simply close down the club.

With that said, this update is over.



January 16th --

I apologize if this comes off fairly harsh. . . But I'm completely under the assumption that no one is going to participate in our contests. Both deadlines have already passed for the current two contests. Sure, I'm quite happy that more people are joining. . . But what's a club if no one makes an effort to make that club awesome? in order to make this club work, I'm going to need your help. C'mon, a lot of people simply love the Akatsuki. . . So, invite your friends. :D The more the merrier, right?

So! Back to the contests, I'll extend the deadline for the icon contest and I might just add a couple more contests. You just have to click on the contests page up near the top of the journal. :3 Please participate in the contests!! <3 Thank you everyone!

December 9th --

Shadow here, once more. Well, guess what! The Akatsuki Club is now a group! Now, I have one thing to ask. . . To all the members of the club, could you please go to our front page and click on join group? That way, you can automatically be added to the list of members. :3

Now that we are officially a group, how about I toss in another contest? :D Akatsuki Party is the name of this contest. It's pretty self explanitory, but I'll say it anyway. make a picture (animation, digital art, traditional art, flash, cosplay, anything!) showing the Akatsuki having an epic party. The party can be focused on the club becoming a group, the new year, whatever you'd celebrate an epic party for! The deadline for this is January 2nd at 12 midnight. The winner will be featured for two weeks and will get a free Akatsuki-related sketch from myself. :3

One more thing, if you are willing to donate a prize to any of our contest winners, please let me know! :D

Hello everyone! Shadow here! Just thought that I'd toss you guys a little bit of an update!

So! I submitted an application for the club to be changed into a group! As soon as it's approved, I'll update again. So, in the mean time, the icon contest is still going, only one small change. Instead of the icon being 50x50 pixels, it can now be 50x100 pixels. Also! The 15kb limit on the regular 50x50 icons does not apply to group icons!

With the club being a group, both joining and submitting fanart will be MUCH easier for you and me.

November 30th --

Okay! After a long time of nothing going on, I =Shadow-Kloud, am now the new owner of the Akatsuki Club! I'm going to revive this epic club to something totally awesome. . . But with 766 notes to deal with, it's going to be a little bit of a slow start. Answering all those notes and what not. I'll get through it quickly, I can assure you!

How about a small contest to begin with? Make a new icon for the Akatsuki Club! There are a couple of guidelines to follow. . . Please include 'Akatsuki-Club' somewhere in the icon, the more Akatsuki members the better, and be creative! Let's go with December 20th for the deadline.

Oh, just a little info on myself. You can call me Shadow, I am 18 years young with 2 additional years of experience. I'm a con-goer. Sasori is my favorite Akatsuki member, followed with Kisame for second. And last, but not least, I love talking to people.
